Publish Plug-ins

Publish comes with a large number of Plug-in’s to integrate third party content.

Publish RSS reader
Publish has an integrated RSS parser and supports syndication of content provided via RSS feeds. The RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) format was designed to syndicate content between websites and lacks support for the article body. It’s possible, and of course legal, to extend RSS with new elements provided this is supported by new name spaces. Publish supports extensions to for example feed both the article introduction and the article body.

Additional Integration Opportunities
Publish can be integrated with most systems using formats such as XML, SOAP or REST API. Please talk to Mobiletech Professional Services to get advise on integrations and formats.

EPi Server Mobile Plug-in
The EPi Mobile Plugin is an add-on to EPiServer, that generates a feed from EPiServer in a Mobiletech Publish format. Mobile sites built in Publish can use those feeds directly and is an instant way of creating mobile sites as an extension of an EPiServer website with rich content. It means your content will only need to be updated once – in EPiServer .

Mobile Advertising
Mobiletech Publish provides plug-ins for a number of mobile advertising systems such as Adquota, MADS, Admob and other systems.

Social Media

Publish comes with standard Social Media plug-ins to:

  • YouTube
  • Facebook
  • Flickr
  • Last.fm
  • Panoramio
  • …and Twitter

Twitter
The Twitter widget takes a feed from Twitter and displays it on the Publish mobile site.
If the twitter tag is used to fetch twitter content from a user timeline or do a twitter search, it does not contain presentation logic, but stores the tweets in a java object.

More Services

In addition to Social Media, Publish provides integration for a long  list of standard services such as Weather, Stock Information, etc.
