Tryg

Tryg is the second largest general insurer in the Nordic region present in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.  It serves more than 2.7 million private customers and over 140,000 businesses on a daily basis.

In Norway, Tryg employs 1,500 staff. It made a decision to implement a mobile strategy to proactively target customers with customized one-to-one communication to foster customer loyalty and minimize client cancellations. Further, it was looking to initiate mobile alert services and needed mobile landing pages to support a range of forthcoming campaigns.

Mobiletech has worked with Tryg to achieve their goals, delivering solutions including mobile web, messaging and consulting services. 

The initial challenge for Tryg was that insufficient numbers of customers had given consent to receiving marketing communications via their mobile device. The initial campaign, therefore, focused on collecting consent. This was followed by implementing a range of mobile alert services to, for example, remind customers via sms when to change batteries in their smoke alarms. Mobiletech also created mobile landing pages that automatically route customers to App Store, Android Markets or web apps, depending on the customer’s mobile device.

Tryg’s campaigns have resulted in excellent response rates, ranging from 20 to 30 percent.
